
Back to Home Page News Room Construction Updates: OAHU- Royal Hawaiian Hotel: Closed for restoration June 1, 2008 and will reopen January 1, 2009. The lobby and all of the guestrooms and suites in TheRoyal Hawaiian's Historic Building will be restored and refreshed. Guest rooms in the Tower Wing will also be renovated - Plans to unveil an exclusive 'Tower within the Tower" concept where certain floors will offer premium amenities and services. Major changes are planned for the pool area that includes a raised pool deck and already installed private pool cabanas. The hotel also has exciting plans to transform the adjacent two-level Island suites into luxurious spa suites. The Mai Tai Bar, the Surf Room restaurant and Monarch Room will also be renovated. The Royal Hawaiian will celebrate a soft opening when it reopens in late 2008 and hold a formal grand reopening around the hotel's anniversary in February 2009 in celebration of its 82nd Birthday Celebration, A "re-birth." Those clients that have standing reservations will be accommodated at one of the sister properties if their reservation is scheduled during the period of closure. We are personally contacting each client both for rooms reservations, as well as a social, catering, or business venues during the 7 month period, and accommodating them with options to move their dates; or their accommodations within one of our beautiful sister hotels. OHANA Waikiki Beachcomber: Jimmy Buffet's at the Beachcomber Restaurant. Projected finish date early 2009. ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset:Room renovations to create contemporary and more spacious rooms, with many expected to be finished sometime in February 2009. To minimize guest inconvenience they will have designated buffer zones above and below floors being worked on. Renovation work will be restricted to 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. MAUI Maui Coast Hotel: Renovation of all guest rooms. Start date January 2, 2008. Projected finish date May 2009. The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach: Beachside pool now open. Construction will resume on January 5, 2009. Maui Prince: Makena South Course closed for renovation. Start date May 27, 2008. Projected finish date 12-18months BIG ISLAND King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel: Renovation of West Tower. Projected finish date March 15, 2009. Renovation of East Tower, and public area. Projected finish date November 1, 2009. KAUAI Castle Kanikai & Lae Nani Resorts:Drilling for water well in front of office. Guests must now check into Castle Kaha Lani, 44660 Nehe Rd. (808)8222-9331. Office closed until futher notice. Princeville Resort: Closed for renovation on September 19, 2008 and will reopen April 19, 2009 as the St. Regis Resort. The multi-million dollar St. Regis re-branding effort will accentuate refined Hawaiian luxury, seductive style and timeless elegance. It will include a complete re-design of guest rooms and meeting function space, renovated public areas including the lobby and swimming pool, new restaurant concepts and the addition of a luxury on-site Spa.
